Natural Kendal Photography competition - Back to the Garden

Do you have an eye for the beauty in our local landscape? Natural Kendal is thrilled to invite photographers of all ages and skill levels to enter our 2026 Photography Competition. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a young explorer with a smartphone, we want to see your perspective on the world around us.
Selected works will be featured in an exhibition during the Natural Kendal Festival (commencing September 26th, 2026), and some winning shots will take centre stage in our 2027 Natural Kendal Calendar!
Key Competition Details Deadline:
All entries must be submitted by midnight, 21st August 2026.
Categories: There are 9 exciting categories to choose from (Adult and Under-15 tiers available for each).
Entry Limit: You may submit up to eight photos in total across any combination of categories.
Timeframe: There is no restriction on when your photos were taken — if you have a gem from years ago, send it in!
Submission Guidelines
To ensure your entry is valid, please follow these technical requirements:
- Format: Submits as JPEG files only via our [Online Entry Form].
- Individual Entry: Each image must be submitted as a separate entry.
- Anonymity: To ensure fair judging, please do not include your name in the image title, filename, or as a watermark.
- Authenticity: Images must be your own work. Generative AI (in whole or in part) is strictly prohibited.
- Print Quality: If shortlisted, you must be able to provide a high-resolution file capable of being printed at 60cm (long edge).
- Copyright & Usage
Your work remains yours. The intellectual property of all entries stays with the photographer. By entering, you grant Natural Kendal permission to use your images for festival promotion, publicity, and our charity calendar. We promise that: - Your personal data will never be shared with third parties.
- You will always be credited whenever your image is used.
