A new season of Lunchtime Talks this spring at Kendal Museum , with a varied programme exploring history, nature, culture and local heritage.

The series began on 21 February with a fascinating look at Ötzi the Iceman and the prehistoric mystery surrounding Europe’s oldest natural human mummy. Later talks include an introduction to wildlife recording, and a special talk and book signing with Karen Lloyd discussing human relationships with landscapes around the world.

The programme concludes in April with an illustrated talk on the history of makeup and cosmetics, including a live historical makeup demonstration.

These relaxed lunchtime sessions offer a chance to learn something new, meet others with similar interests, and explore a wide range of topics.
